These are single hard drives on a USB docking station there is no redundancy whatsoever for this type of deployment to keep your data safe. The drives are “Surveillance Hard Drives” but they are still moving spinning parts and will eventually fail. If you do not care about your video footage being lost and want to save money this is an ideal product however if you want to keep things safe we recommend a RAID setup instead
